Sambucci astonishes at World Championships

A fault on the very last obstacle of the jump-off kept them off the podium. That’s how astonishing the performances of our young stallion Sambucci de Muze (s. Scendro) and Luke Hill were at the World Championships for 6-year-old show jumpers in Lanaken. So our young stallion, homebred by us and co-owned with the VDL Stud, jumped both qualifiers and the first round of the final without any faults. Chapeau! Equally the final, we saw Libelle Asborne Z (s. Lector vd Bisschop) under Seppe Wouters. Koen brought Valentino Boy and Special Star de Corlato with him and jumped a clear round in the qualifications with each of them.

In the championship for 5-year-olds, Tarte Tatin van ‘t Meulenhof (s. Eames de Hus - Davide Kainich), Bali Z (s. Bamako de Muze - Pieter Jan de Visser), Target D.G. (s. Fantomas de Muze - Giorgio Sacco), Thunderflip de Muze (s. Mosito van het Hellehof - Arnaud Gaublomme), I'm Special Bella GB (s. I'm Special de Muze - Maxi de Weert) and Edentrillick Special Edition (s. I'm Special de Muze - Vincent Byrne) qualified for the final with two clear rounds in the qualifiers. The same goes for Jericho de Hus (s. Emerald), a young stallion we co-own with Greg Broderick. This Jericho repeated that trick in the final, eventually finishing in a nice 20th place.

Remus de Mariposa (s. Lector vd Bisschop) reached the final for 7-year-olds under Jérôme Guery and finished 14th. We also saw Jur Vrieling riding Rock'n Roll MXL (s. Denzel van ‘t Meulenhof) and Gudrun Patteet riding Baron - RR Z (s. Bamako de Muze) in the final. In the consolation class, there was a top ten placing for Harry Van Dooren on Migo (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles).

Tetouan

Simon Delestre and Olga van de Kruishoeve grabbed yet another international win, this time in one of the main classes at the CSI4* in Tetouan. There was also a fourth place for Jeanne Sadran and Funky Boy des Rêves (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) in a 1.45m class. Bryan Balsiger signed for fourth place over 1.40m riding PSG Invictus (s. I'm Special de Muze).

St. Tropez

At the CSI3* in St. Tropez, Mathieu Billot jumped to tenth place in the GP with Feticheur Riverland (s. I'm Special de Muze). At 1.50m level there was a second place for Megane Moissonnier and Qoup de Coeur de Muze (s. Mosito van het Hellehof). Benoit Cernin won a 1.45m class on Dynamite du Miral (s. Nabab de Rêve) and Nicolas Delmotte finished second in a 1.40m class on Kalippo van de Wolfsakker (s. Denzel van ‘t Meulenhof).

In the two-star classes, Pedro Junqueira Muylaert grabbed eighth place in the GP riding Girl Power DK (s. By Cera d'Ick). Vincent Bartin and Natural Picobello Z (s. Nabab de Rêve) finished third in a 1.45m class. For Marie Demonte and Give Me One Reason DK (s. By Cera d'Ick) there was a fifth place at the same level and a fourth place over 1.40m.

Lexington

Daisy Parish and Quala van de Rollebeek (s. Bamako de Muze) finished seventh in the Lexington GP2*. Earlier, they also took second place in a 1.45m class.

Other

Sixth place was the verdict for Tiffany Foster with Battlecry (ex-Olympus van de Molenberg, s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) in the Vancouver GP2*. Finally, in Deurne, Johan-Sebastian Gulliksen raced to second place in a 1.40m class on Lolita ES (s. Mosito van het Hellehof).
