Glad to have him back

After having served for four years as a breeding stallion in Germany, our Kasanova de la Pomme (f. Bamako de Muze) returned to Belgian soil last week. His first performance since his return was in any case very promising. With Karline De Brabander, he jumped three days clear in Opglabbeek. The future looks bright.

Gancia

At the Stephex Masters in Wolvertem, Niels Bruynseels and Gancia de Muze (f. Malito de Rêve) wanted a second victory in a row, but in the end, they had to settle for the eight place in the GP. In the classes for seven- and eight-year-old horses, Evita van ‘t Zoggehof (f. Golden Hawk, ex-Figo de Muze) once more showed her enormous potential by finishing first and third with Lorenzo de Luca. Finally, Bacardi-Rhum de Muze (f. Kannan) showed to be as regular as they come in the two-star-competition. Two times third and one time second even gained his rider Dimitri Noterman the ‘rider of the competition’-award.

Gijon

At the other five-star-event last weekend, it was the tiny Hocus Pocus de Muze (f. Tinka’s Boy) that drew attention by becoming second in a though 1.55m-class with Lisa Nooren. Also in Gijon, Jarvis van d’Abelendreef (f. Nabab de Rêve) and Linda Heed were part of the Swedish team that became fourth in the Nations Cup.

Games

Last week, we already signalled here that Heroine de Muze (f. Tinka’s Boy) and Taizo Sugitani were doing exceptionally well at the Asian Games in Indonesia. Ultimately, this resulted in a great fourth place in the individual final rankings.

Young horses

Once more, a whole list of excellent performances by the young offspring of our stallions everywhere on the planet could be provided. We start in the Jordan city of Amman where Gladiator-P (f. Nabab de Rêve) jumped into the spotlight with three top-five placements in a row with Sara Hussein Saleh Al Armouti. Nayana Adb (f. Nabab de Rêve) was doing well in the classes for five-year-olds in Arezzo with Italian rider Ludovico Martini di Cigala.

In Opglabbeek, Hummertime grabbed his chance in the classes for six-year-olds by winning one of these classes with Dutch rider Maikel Van Mierlo. Houdini van de Dijk (v. Vigo d’Arsouilles) was also placed two times with Valentijn De Bock. Generously Paid For (f. Bamako de Muze) and Marjan De Wachter were able to jump to a nice rank as well. De Wachter even equalled that performance in the classes for seven-year-olds with L’Arcotique van ‘t Meulenhof (v. Bamako de Muze). In the classes for five-year-olds, Excalibur Sr Z (f. Elvis Ter Putte) was once more three days clear with Czech rider Jan Maly.

Furthermore, we would like to point out the fine performances at 1.40m level of Camako S Boy JW (f. Bamako de Muze) in Ciekocinko with Tomasz Olszewski and of I Love You Ter Putte (f. Elvis Ter Putte) in Opglabbeek with Margareth Eikner.

Fences

To conclude this week, we go to the Fences Auction, where By Cera d’Ick delivered one of the most expensive horses of the 2018 edition. Floralie DK was sold for a whopping 94.000 EUR. Vigo Deux NC Z (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles, 44.000 EUR) and Pele van de Withoeve (f. Scendro, 36.000 EUR) also changed owners for excellent prices.
