First foal championship of the year big hit for Scendro and Matisse

BWP Moerbeke-Waas

The first BWP foal championship of the year took place in Moerbeke-Waas on Monday and Stal de Muze went home with a good feeling thanks to Scendro and Matisse de Mariposa. In the category for fillies, A-series, the victory was for Scarlett Lozanco (f. Matisse de Mariposa), who ended just ahead of Special Lady van den Bosdam (f. I’m Special de Muze). In the same series, there was a fourth place for Scarlet van de Coninckshoeve (f. Elvis ter Putte) and a fifth place for Sibelle VDB (f. Matisse de Mariposa. The C-series delivered a second place for Shakira van den Bosdam (f. Scendro).

In the category for colts, Samurai van de Eilandhoeve (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles, B-series) and Salvador van het Amzohof (f. Bamako de Muze, C-series) qualified themselves for the National Foal Championship of the BWP studbook.

We were not finished yet, since we also scored some good results with the older mares. Qresy van den Bosdam (f. Scendro) triumphed in the category for two-year-old mares and as the cherry on the cake she was also pronounced youth champion. Quinta van het Klavertje Vier (f. Mosito van het Hellehof) and Querida van den Bosdam (f. Denzel van ’t Meulenhof) were placed second and third respectively. Quirani van de Maltahoeve (f. El Torreo de Muze) also qualified herself for the national mare championship. Finally, Promise van het Amzohof (f. Elvis ter Putte) won the series for three-year-old mares. Many congratulations to all breeders.

Grand Prix trip

The most eye-catching performance of last weekend in the big sport was taken care of by Antonio Alfonso and Chic Hyn d’Hyrencourt (f. Taran de la Pomme). This duo was the only double clear and therefore, they got hold of the victory trophy in the GP4* of Geesteren. In the Italian city of San Remo, the win belonged to Giulia Levi and Van Dutch Z (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles).

Besides these victories, there were also a bunch of other GP-placings. Naccord Melloni (f. Nabab de Rêve) finished fourth in the GP of Sopot and Freestyle de Muze (f. Lord Z) jumped to a fifth place in the Calgary GP (both GP’s were 5*). For Elize (f. Bamako de Muze) and Aymeric de Ponnat, there was a sixth place in the GP of Deauville and Global (f. Nabab de Rêve) finished tenth in the GP of Gross Viegeln with Christian Weier.

Finally, our stallion Kasanova de la Pomme, came very close to victory in the national GP of Grabow Blumenthal, but eventually ended up with a great second place.

Other classes

Not only at the GP-level, but also in other classes there were some great results. In Sopot, Vagabond de la Pomme (v. Vigo d’Arsouilles) and Eros (f. Querlybet Hero) helped the French team to a second place in the Nations Cup. Bas Moerings and Fasther (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles) won a 1.40m-class in Geesteren and in Moorsele, Vincent Lambrecht and Just Energie (f. Nabab de Rêve) jumped to a second place over 1.45m.

Young horses

Last but not least, a short recap of all the great results achieved by some promising youngsters. Nimrod de Muze Z (f. Nabab de Rêve) excelled in Deauville with two victories and a fifth place in the classes for seven-year-olds. Laurent Goffinet is his rider. Bono ter Linden (f. Bamako de Muze) grabbed a win in the classes for five- and six-year-olds in Moorsele with Guillaume Ruant and Hayley (f. Glock’s London) once more showed his capabilities, ridden by Omer Karaevli.

Finally, in Roeser, Hinosa C (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles) placed fifth twice in the classes for five- and six-year-olds and, in San Remo, Monseigneur (f. Nabab de Rêve) delivered again with three times a ribbon.
