On the eve of the World Championships for Young Showjumpers in Lanaken, we look back at last week. No less than five five-star competitions were on the programme.

In Aachen, Bernardo Alves started with our stallions Mosito van het Hellehof and El Torreo de Muze. With El Torreo he realised a clear round in the tough Nations Cup. With Mosito he finished second in a 1.45m class.

Equally in Aachen, Jessica Springsteen and Don Juan van de Donkhoeve (s. Bamako de Muze) were part of the winning American team in the Nations Cup. Luiz Felipe de Azevedo Filho on Hermes van de Vrombautshoeve (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) finished fifth in a 1.60m class and Lorenzo De Luca on Malissa de Muze (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) was third in a 1.50m class. Lucy Deslauriers and Enanda (s. Nabab de Rêve) achieved a similar result in a 1.45m class.

Traverse City

Karlin van 't Vennehof (s. Fantomas de Muze) and Shane Sweetnam showed again their great quality with a second place in the 1.50m (5*) in Traverse City. Vanessa Hood and Lou Lou VLS (s. St. Tropez

At the five star competition in St. Tropez, Icarus (s. Querlybet Hero) and Pieter Clemens jumped to fourth place in the 1.50m class. At 1.45m level we recorded placings for the same duo and for Le Coultre de Muze (s. Presley Boy, Philippe Rozier).

Maubeuge

A sixth place was the final result for Morfine de Muze (s. Nabab de Rêve) and Rik Hemeryck in the GP3* of Maubeuge. Cacacha van het Schaeck (s. Bamako de Muze) and Max Sebrechts gained a third place at 1.45m level and a fourth place at 1.40m level.

Lanzarote de Muze (s. Clinton) showed himself in Bonheiden under the saddle of Francisco Rocha. The duo finished ninth in the GP and fifth in a 1.45m class. Oleksander Prodan and Dakar (s. Nabab de Rêve) were third in a 1.40m class.

The only 9-year-old Mallito (v. I'm Special de Muze) was piloted to the third place in the GP of Kronenberg by Thiago Ribas da Costa. In the other classes, we noted a third place for Nikita du Roton (s. Elvis Ter Putte) under the Estonian Margareth Eikner and a fifth place for Explosion vh Legita Hof Z (s.
