Three out of three for Perseus de Muze

PAVO Stallion Competition

Our four-year-old stallion prospect Perseus de Muze (By Cera d’Ick x Quidam de Revel) also delivered in the third leg of the PAVO Stallion Competition, resulting in a third clear in a row with Walter Lelie. This implies that it is already certain that Perseus will start the finals the competition with a maximum score, with one leg still to go. The finals will be held after the third phase of the BWP Stallion Approvals, mid-March.

In the competition for seven-year-olds, Guy Beyers and Mithras de Regor (s. Elvis Ter Putte) realised a nice second place. This places them also second in the provisional rankings.

Bravissimo, Bellissimo

Also in Lier, Thibeau Spits impressed by winning three of the main classes. In two of them, the GP and a 1.45m-class, he rode Bellissimo Z (s. Bamako de Muze). At the 1.40m-level, we noted a second place for Sabrina Van Rijswijck and Lely vd Bisschop (s. Elvis Ter Putte).

In the classes for young horses, there was an eighth place in the finals for Very High de Muze Z (s. Vigo d’Arsouilles) and Philippe Le Jeune with the seven-year-olds. Messi vd Bisschop (s. Bamako de Muze) became tenth in that same final with Bernardo Mathias.

In the classes for five- and six-year-olds, Ellabelle de Rie Z (s. Elvis Ter Putte, Isabelle Hanssens), Iowenna (s. Denzel van ‘t Meulenhof, Helen Tredwell) en Elaba de Muze Z (s. Elvis Ter Putte, Evert Van Mele) stood out above the crowd with some nice placings.

Southern spheres

In the south of Europe, the preparatory competitions for the upcoming outdoor season are in full swing. Nicola Philippaerts rode his new mount Fubertha (s. Nabab de Rêve) to a fourth place in a 1.40m-class, while Brieanne Dofort and Nanou van het Dennehof (s. Elvis Ter Putte) won a class for six-year-olds.

A little bit further down the road, in Valencia, Frederic Bouvard stood in the spotlights. At height 1.45m, he rode Lubie de l’Elan (s. Querlybet Hero) to a fourth place, with Hugh Grant de Muze (s. Shindler de Muze) following in his footsteps by finishing second at the same height only two days later. Mike Van Belle and Frauke van ‘t Hagenhof Z (s. Golden Hawk) finally, finished second in a 1.40m-class.

André Americo de Miranda and Ermes de Bergeries (s. Nabab de Rêve) jumped to a second place in a 1.45m-class in Carmona-Sevilla. Valentine Petit-Jean (Patchouli de Muze Z, s. Ponsee V) and Cassandra Malherbe (Fee van het Cauterhof, s. Bamako de Muze) finished the competition with some placings at the 1.40m-level.

In Portuguese Vejer de la Frontera, Greg Patrick Broderick became fifth in the GP2* with Dabelle (s. Nabab de Rêve). In de classes for five-year-olds, Omer Karaevli jumped Obabelute-M (s. Nabab de Rêve) twice without penalties. Gregory Wathelet (Melia de Regor, s. Elvis Ter Putte) and Gudrun Patteet (Sea Coast Monalisa van ‘t Paradijs, s. Bamako de Muze) even pulled off to jump clear three days in a row in the classes for seven-year-olds. In Vilamoura, it was Chloe Aston that rode six-year-old Nistria Chianti Z (s. Nabab de Rêve) to a triple clear round.

The Six Bars at the CSI2* in Rome brought an ex-aequo victory for Corrado Boni and Nooitgedacht P (f. Taran de la Pomme). Marco Condurro and Farao of Heritage (ex-Farao van de Donkhoeve, s. Malito de Rêve) finished fifth in the same class. In the GP of Rome, Eugenio Grimaldi and Minerva G.I.H. Z (s. Malito de Rêve) became fifth, while Paolo Adorno and Fer Z.G. (s. Nabab de Rêve) won a 1.40m-class.


In Neumünster, there was a sixth place for Harm Lahde and Oak Grove’s Laith (s. Glock’s London) in the final for seven- and eight-year-old horses. Chic Hin d’Hyrencourt (s. Taran de la Pomme) and Beezie Madden ended fifth in the five star GP of the Palm Beach Masters in Wellington.
