Young stallions continue to impress

The third round of the Equilannoo Belgian Stallion Competition again produced quite a few top rounds from our young stallions. In the 4-year-olds’ competition, Viento de Muze and Vino For Fun were clear for the third time in a row under Nick Vrins. Victor van HD also had a third clear round with Yarno Geeroms. Vesper van ‘t Veer was also clear again with Christophe De Brabander in the saddle.

Kept Secret de l'Amitié Z signed for a clear round in the competition for 5-year-olds under Anneliese Prag. Prince Cute de Muze Z (Yarno Geeroms) also went clear for the third time in a row. Both Uelo de Muze and Umbello de Muze (both also with Yarno) continued their progress with another clear round, as did Frederik Wuytack and Jaguar SIH Z.

Our 6-year-old star-in-the-making Tartufo de Muze and Nick Vrins speeded to a double clear round in the six-year-old category for the third time in a row.

Now on to the final!

Bordeaux

In the Bordeaux GP5*, Peder Fredricson and Vroom de la Pomme Z (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) signed for seventh place. Denis Lynch piloted Brooklyn Heights (ex-Jorden van de Kruishoeve, s. Nabab de Rêve) to place nine. Steve Guerdat and Iashin Sitte (s. Bamako de Muze) finished fourth over 1.50m. Two close placings at 1.45m-1.50m level were achieved by Eduardo Alvarez Aznar and Qevita vd Bisschop (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles).

Wellington

Alex Matz and Ikigai (s. Elvis Ter Putte) finished tenth in Wellington's GP5*. In the two-star classes, Dana Escales finished second at 1.40m level riding Bono ter Linden (s. Bamako de Muze).

Vejer de la Frontera

The Medium GP of Vejer de la Frontera was right up the sleeve of Odile Gierech and Qallas de Septon (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles). There were also places of honour for Kendra Claricia Brinkop riding Eau de Vie Jeleena Dr Z (s. Elvis Ter Putte) at 1.45m level and for Andres Vereecke riding Call Me de Muze Z at 1.50m level.

Puebla

Alberto Sanchez-Cozar and Equinox de la Pomme (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) placed fifth in the World Cup in Puebla, Mexico. Earlier, they also made their mark with a second place in a 1.50m class. Bruno Cavalheiro Rebello and Quite Elvis Ve (s. Elvis Ter Putte) finished second at 1.45m.

Valencia

A fifth place was the result for Neri Pieraccini and Orleans van de Kruishoeve (s. Fantomas de Muze) in the GP3* of Valencia, after they also finished fourth in a ranking class before that. Private Dancer van ‘t Meulenhof (s. Gemini xx) finished tenth in the GP with Piergorgio Bucci in the saddle. Mathieu Billot and Villas Z (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) took second place in a 1.40m class.

Lier

The GP2* of Lier was won by Pim Mulder with Incredible Z (s. I'm Special de Muze). Wilm Vermeir finished fourth on Belle Amie vd Dassenheide Z (s. Bamako de Muze). The latter duo did win a ranking class on Friday. At 1.40m level, there were two wins for Pim Mulder on Orelia van ‘t Edelweishof (s. Nabab de Rêve) and Kim Thiry grabbed a second place with Quel Torreo T (s. El Torreo de Muze).

San Giovanni in Marignano

Finally, in the GP2* of Italy's San Giovanni in Marignano, Paolo Adamo Zuvadelli and SM Moses CH (s. Mosito van het Hellehof) finished second.
