Two champions by Lector

We are actually not sure where to start. The national championships for young horses in Belgium and the Netherlands last week produced a whole lot of brilliant performances by the offspring of our stallions. There were also many noteworthy results in the Cycle. The result of the hard work of everyone involved: breeders, owners, riders, etc. Hopefully, not only our wildest expectations were amply exceeded. Congratulations to all!

2x Lector

Both in the Netherlands and Belgium, Lector vd Bisschop sired a champion last week. In Gesves, Seppe Wouters won the Belgian Championships for 5-year-olds in the saddle of Libelle Asborne Z, a breeding product of Asborne BVBA. In the Netherlands, the championship for 6-year-olds went to Menoor under the saddle of Oda Charlotte Lyngvaer. Menoor was bred by J.H.M. Van Loon.

Mosito

It did not end there, by the way. The Dutch Championship for 7-year-olds was won by Labelle ES, a daughter of Mosito van het Hellehof, bred by Egbert Schep. Gaj Riossa was in the saddle. In the championship for 6-year-olds, Christoff Gangl and his own breeding product Miss Perfect (s. I'm Special de Muze) also achieved a clear round in the final.

2x Denzel

At the Belgian Championships in Gesves, the offspring of Denzel van 't Meulenhof, who unfortunately died too early this year, jumped into the limelight with a silver and a bronze medal in the category for 5-year-olds. Frederik Wuytack took second place riding Secret Touch JW van 't Meulenhof, bred by BVBA 't Meulenhof and Jan Wuytack. Jeroen De Winter was on three riding his home-bred Soory-Linn van 't Netehof.

Bamako

In the final for 5-year-olds we also saw clear rounds by Boeff van de Molen Z (Luka Lisens, breeder: Kristof Engelen) and Sire DC (Joris Junior Vergauwen, breeder: De Cooman - De Bruycker - Van Akker). In the final for 6-year-olds, Ivan Dalton came fourth on Harry d'Etë, bred in France by Vincent & Laurence Roger. These three horses are offspring of Bamako de Muze. Furthermore, one of the eight champions in the 4-year-olds championship was Thorgal d'Or (s. I'm Special de Muze), a breeding product of Raymond De Grave who recorded nothing but clear rounds under the saddle of Ruben De Grave.

Cycle winners

Also in the Cycle, many champions and prize winners who descend from our stallions were crowned. Think Nice DC Z (s. Taran de la Pomme), for example, became champion in the category of the 4-year-olds under Joris Junior Vergauwen. In the final ranking for 5-year-olds, no fewer than three descendants of Bamako de Muze became champion. They are Sire DC, Bianchi vd Berghoeve Z (Joy Fonck, breeder: Vadebo NV) and Babelutte van 't Beaukeshof Z (Christoph Verheyen, breeder: Jolien Wuytack). Our breeding product Syros de Muze (s. Eames de Hus) also became champion under Sofiia Taran, as did Secret Touch JW van 't Meulenhof. Malito de Rêve also produced two champions, namely Sisley van de Hazenhoek (Glenn Praet), bred by Bert Merckx, and Sherif van HD (Walter Lelie), bred by Daniel Van Hooydonk. Finally, Matheo de Bo Z (s. Matisse de Mariposa) and Thomas Mertens also became champions. This is a breeding product of Philippe Bormans.

4x de Muze

In the top ten for 6-year-olds, the fine fourth place of Ramos van 't Laarhof (s. Mithras de Regor) caught the eye. Ramos was bred by Jozef Van Laerhoven and was ridden by Marthe Heudens. No fewer than four top-ten placings for offspring of our stallions in the final classification for 7-year-olds. Kaliopée du Saint-Chêne (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles, breeder: Thierry Quinet) and Pascal Van Laethem grabbed second place. Qarvaljo d'Or (s. Mosito van het Hellehof, breeder: Raymond de Grave) and Ruben De Grave were in fourth place. Further placings were for Quite Easy van 't Paradijs (s. Taran de la Pomme), bred by Johan Rooms-Vandenbranden and ridden by Astrid Rooms and Qmusic-K van 't Kattenheye (s. Le Blue Diamond van 't Ruytershof), bred by Tony Raman and Mieke Strobbe. Jan Vermeiren was in the saddle.

Nothing but gratitude

So a sincere thank you to all breeders who have called on Stal de Muze in recent years, resulting in all these top performances. We are proud that our stallions have not betrayed their trust. We too are curious to see what the World Championships in Lanaken still have in store....
