Mosito produces GP4* winner

The Wellington GP4* proved to be right up the alley of Beat Mändli and Qoachella, yet another successful offspring from the first crop of Mosito van het Hellehof. The pair had previously already finished second in a 1.40m class. Also at the WEF, Nicola Philippaerts claimed a prize at 1.50m level riding Rolex Ter Leydonck (s. Bamako de Muze). In the U25 classes, the offspring of Denzel van ’t Meulenhof took centre stage. In the Grand Prix, his daughter Jikke-Cara finished second under Ariana Marnell. His son Pick Wick van de Kruishoeve was placed fourth by Livia Martin.

Den Bosch

Denzel’s offspring were also successful in Den Bosch. Ipsthar and Bas Moerings won the 1.55m main class on Friday evening. In the same class, Kevin Staut finished fifth on Vida Loca Z (s. Vigo d’Arsouilles). For the latter pair, it was a successful show in any case, with a third-place finish in a 1.50m class as well. Thibeau Spits and Gin Flip de Muze Z (s. Gino H) took third place over 1.45m. In the same class, Bas Moerings finished fifth riding Kivinia (s. I’m Special de Muze). At 1.40m level, there were top placings for Bar Moerings with Nunblisther (s. Vigo d’Arsouilles), Claudia Moore with Lover Boy SVO (s. Elvis Ter Putte) and Simon Delestre with Olga van de Kruishoeve (s. El Torreo de Muze).

Gorla Minore

Not only Mosito, but also Vigo d’Arsouilles is credited as the sire of a horse that won an international GP last weekend. Emiliano Liberati rode Aruba Island (s. Vigo d’Arsouilles) to victory in the GP3* at Gorla Minore. Earlier, this pair had also secured fourth place over 1.45m. Robert Murphy rode Eagle vd Wolfsakker Z (s. Elvis Ter Putte) to third place at 1.50m level.

St. Tropez

Elvis Ter Putte also produced a Grand Prix winner last weekend. Bryan Balsiger rode Nora de Mariposa to victory in the GP3* of St. Tropez. Earlier in the competition, they had also been the best in a ranking class. Qwando van de Rispen (s. Matisse de Mariposa) finished tenth in the GP and also secured a victory in a ranking class, both times under Victor Bettendorf.

Thermal

Battlecry (ex-Olympus van de Molenberg, s. Vigo d’Arsouilles) finished ninth in the GP4* of Thermal under Tiffany Foster. This pair also secured two third places over 1.45m and 1.50m.

Vejer de la Frontera

Jos Verlooy and Nixon van ’t Meulenhof (s. Denzel van ’t Meulenhof) took fourth place in a 1.45m class on the Sunshine Tour. Miconia Special (s. I’m Special de Muze, Mel Thijssen) and NC Verso Red Wine (s. Vigo d’Arsouilles, Enno Klaphake) also made their mark.

Bedizzole

Lorenzo De Luca and Presence Bleue VDM (s. Vigo d’Arsouilles) took fourth place over 1.45m in Bedizzole, Italy. In various 1.40m classes, we saw excellent performances from Seppe Wouters with Libelle Asborne Z (s. Lector vd Bisschop) and Suzanne de Mariposa (s. Scendro).

Lier

In the GP2* at Lier, Niels Fockaert took second place with Bliksem McQueen 111 Z (s. Bamako de Muze). Lucio Osorio and Queena (s. Bamako de Muze) finished tenth in the GP and also secured second price in a 1.40m class.

Oliva

Levis de Muze (s. Elvis Ter Putte) was ridden by Ioli Mytilineou to seventh place in the GP2* at Oliva. Sammie Jo Coffin and Chaccomo Blue (s. Vigo d’Arsouilles) took second place in a 1.45m class.

Other

Ansgar Holtgers Jr rode Nabucco Z (s. Nabab de Rêve) to sixth place in the GP2* of Myakka City. Finally, in Coapexpan, Mexico, Bruno Cavalheiro Rebello finished third in a 1.45m class on Quite Elvis VE (s. Elvis Ter Putte).
