De Muze @ Lanaken

World Championships Zangersheide

Great results for the (offspring) by the stallions of Stal de Muze at the World Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken. In the finals for seven-year-olds, we counted no less than three horses by Vigo d’Arsouilles, with among them Malissa de Muze (Lorenzo De Luca), winner of the first qualifier and half-sister to our stallions Fantomas de Muze and Lector vd Bisschop. The other offspring by Vigo were Vida Loca Della Marca (Agustin Covarrubias) and Van Halen Z (Guido Klatte). Carembar had two progeny in the finals, Hotspot (Wilm Vermeir) and Che de Kezeg Z (Cyril Cools). Melia de Regor and Gregory Wathelet took care of the representation of the Elvis Ter Putte-genes in the finals.

In the competition for six-year-olds, following horses were qualified for the final: Nixon van ‘t Meulenhof (s. Denzel van ‘t Meulenhof, Harrie Smolders), I’m Special Gold B (s. I’m Special de Muze, Jos Verlooy), Calanta de Muze (s. Cadeau de Muze, Ivan Dalton) and Nueva Epoca de Regor (s. Nabab de Rêve, Tom Verduyn). Thibaut Huyvaert and Orphy van de Kruishoeve (s. Elvis Ter Putte) in turn, excelled with a double clear round in the final for five-year-old horses.

Finally, in the Sires of the World, William Whitaker and Cadeau de Muze finished in an excellent ninth place.

International

Besides all the activity at Zangersheide, there was some showjumping at the two- and four-star-level in French St. Tropez. Lord de Muze (s. Nabab de Rêve) proved to be in great shape by being placed three times in a row. Ridden by Mathieu Billot he became second twice (1.40m) and sixth once (1.45m).

To conclude this week's overview, we head over to the CSI2* in Beijing, where Chinese rider Ba Gen jumped to a tenth placing in the GP. He rode the mare Kenjoy van de Spelonckhoeve (s. Nabab de Rêve).
