Twice Vigo d’Arsouilles in GCT GP Doha

The final leg of the Global Champions Tour 2018 was competed in Doha. The offspring of Vigo d’Arsouilles stood out from the crowd over the very difficult obstacles of the GP. Irenice Horta (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles) and Lorenzo De Luca eventually became fourth after a double clear round. For Shane Breen and Golden Hawk (ex-Figo de Muze, f. Vigo d’Arsouilles), a ninth place was reserved after three faults in the jump-off.

Some more GP news

Several excellent performances were also noted in other GP’s/World Cups. In the World Cup of Thermal, Firestone S (f. Querlybet Hero) ended fifth with John Pearce. Iceman de Muze (f. Erco van ‘t Roosakker) and Dayro Arroyave finished ninth in the GP of Opglabbeek (1.55m). At the two star level, there was an eight place for Wilm Vermeir aboard Kigali vd Bisschop (f. Nabab de Rêve) in Samorin and a tenth spot for Gerben Morsink riding Navarone Z (f. Nabab de Rêve) in Wierden. The latter duo also finished fourth in a 1.40m-class.

Patchouli de Muze Z

Spanish Carmona delivered a win for Patchouli de Muze (f. Ponsee V) with Valentine Petit-Jean in the GP1*. This combination also became fourth in another 1.40m-class. At the same height, but at the three star level, Doron Kuipers achieved an excellent second place with Homer de Muze (f. Nabab de Rêve). Furthermore, Gitano van Berkenbroeck (f. Nabab de Rêve) and Juan Carlos Garcia won a 1.45m-LR in Carmona.

Other

The third place in Saturday’s main competition at Samorin (1.50m) was reserved for Minerva G.I.H. Z (f. Malito de Rêve) and Eugenio Grimaldi. Elco Van Hof Ter Naillen (f. Elvis Ter Putte) jumped on his turn to a second place in a 1.45m-class in Opglabbeek with Dutch rider Michel Hendrix. Koblenz-W van ‘t Merelsnest (f. Nabab de Rêve) and Taizo Sugitani finished tenth in the GP of Oliva (1.40m).

Young horses

In the classes for young horses in Oliva, there were some notable performances for Ronnie Jones with Interstar B (f. I’m Special de Muze) in the classes for five-year-olds and for Lester (f. Elvis Ter Putte) with Damien Haelterman in the classes for seven-year-olds. In Italian Gorla Minore, Demantur de Muze Z (f. Diamant de Semilly, Fabio Crotta), Grain d’Or de Saulieu (f. Bamako de Muze, Pierre Brunschwig) and No Limit NC Z (f. Nabab de Rêve, Pierre Brunschwig) impressed in the classes for six-year-olds.

Epilogue

Stefanie Holmen and Flip’s Little Sparrow (f. Cardento) became Swedish Champion in the seniors category. Flip’s Litte Sparrow is the daughter of our breeding mare and former superstar Butterfly Flip and is therefore half-sister to the mother of Quick Flip de Muze. Quick Flip is the two-year-old daughter of Mosito van het Hellehof that won the Belgian Youngster Trials last week.
