The mare Sara van het Parelshof, herself a daughter of Voltaire, has achieved a rather legendary status in breeding thanks to, so far, three offspring. Harrie Smolders still has nothing but praise for his Don VHP Z (ex-Don van het Parelshof Z, s. Diamant de Semilly). For years, this duo jumped at the very highest level. The same can be said about HH Carlos Z (ex-Carlos van het Parelshof Z, s. Chellano Z), who even reached that level with two riders: Nicola Philippaerts and McLain Ward. Zora VHP (ex-Zora van het Parelshof Z, s. Zandor Z) also jumped 1.50m.
Meanwhile, her next descendants are ready to follow in those -admittedly pretty big- footsteps. Not only is there Qartoon de Muze, but Sara also gave us Rotterdam de Muze in 2017. This Rotterdam is a son of former world champion Cumano.
After his approval for the AES studbook, he aroused the interest of the French station Haras de Castille with whom we do often work. He then moved to France, where he has been available for breeding ever since and where he has been working hard on his sporting career. At the beginning of 2023, he already made his international debut in the young horse classes. Needless to say that our expectations are high.
